ABSTRACT: The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of reduced doses of the commercial mixture composed of fluazifop-p-butil + fomesafen, applied for the management of common weeds in beans. The experiment was conducted in a completely randomized block design, with a 5x2+1 factorial arrangement and with four replications. In factor A, there were five percentual doses (100, 87.5, 75.0, 62.5 and 0.0%), in relation to the recommended commercial dose (2 L ha-1) of fluazifop-p-butil + fomesafen, which corresponded to 2.00; 1.75; 1.50; 1.25 and 0.00 L ha-1. Factor B was composed by two development stages of black beans (three and eight trefoils) and weeds: black-jack (two to four and four to eight leaves) and southern crabgrass (two leaves to one... |

ABSTRACT: Volunteer corn has high competitive capacity with bean, and the degree of interference varies as a function of corn density and origin (individual plant or clump). This study aimed to quantify bean yield losses under interference with densities of individual plants and clumps (seven plants at the same point) of GR® F2 volunteer corn and calculate the economic threshold (ET). Two experiments were carried out in a randomized blocks design with three replicates in Passo Fundo, RS, Brazil. The studied volunteer corn densities were 0, 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 8, and 12 individual plants and clumps m-2. The bean yield was assessed and calculated the yield losses (%) in response to volunteer corn interference. The yield loss data were fitted to the rectangular... |

ABSTRACT In view of the imminent need for efficient water use and the search for adequate management techniques to reduce the effect of salinity on plants, a study was conducted to evaluate the effect of continuous and pulses drip irrigation with saline water on green bean yield and water use efficiency. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse, in a completely randomized design, with treatments distributed in a 2 x 5 factorial arrangement. The first factor was type of drip irrigation, i.e., continuous or pulse, while the second factor was the levels of water salinity (electrical conductivity of 0.3, 1.5, 2.5, 3.5 and 4.5 dS m-1), with five replicates, and two plants per replicate, totaling 50 experimental units. The following variables were analysed:... |

ABSTRACT The aim of this study was the agroclimatic zoning of common bean in the Mato Grosso state in the second harvest. Data from 38 meteorological stations in the state and in neighboring regions were used. The zoning was based on water requirement satisfaction index (WRSI) for the common bean crop, for the three levels of available water capacity of the soils of the state (30, 50 and 75 mm) in 12 sowing periods. After generating the indexes for the municipalities, the variograms of the data were fitted in order to enable interpolation of the data for the state. Data were entered into ArcGISTM 10.0 and the ordinary kriging interpolation method was used. After generating the maps, they were clipped to the Mato Grosso State and classified as the following... |
